Urban indie artist Ravshan Kurbanov aka “FLY” was born in Yangier, Uzbekistan but spent much of his childhood in the capital city of Tashkent. He arrived in the Fort Myers, FL at the age of 15 with his father to re-unite with his mother and brother who had arrived sometime before them. Life in Uzbekistan definitely wasn't the easiest and caused him to grow up with many hardened emotions towards life. Although FLY grew up with an interest in many things, one of his most prominent passions was his love for music. Blessed to have friend in middle school with access to a PC (this was uncommon due to the strained economy), FLY began listening to and falling in love with hip hop at an early age.
